The world is full of different things. All these things make up our environment. Environment refers to the air, water and land where people, animals and plants live. So, people, animals, plants, air, water and soil are the main components of the environment.
Storms, cyclones, earthquakes and other natural forces are also part of the environment. Climate is also related to the environment. All these things are interrelated. The way people, animals and plants relate to each other around them is known as ecology.
It is a complex web that connects all the components of the living world environment. All these things hang together. The system is in a constant state of dynamic equilibrium, which means that changing any one part of the web can affect all the other parts.
For example, deforestation can have serious environmental consequences on people and animals. Millions of tons of domestic garbage are being generated in the world. The environment is being polluted due to the disposal of various types of waste.
Therefore, it is difficult to protect our environment from being polluted. If no immediate steps are taken to protect our environment, the world will become uninhabitable like a desert in the future. We can protect our environment by taking some basic steps like stopping water wastage, stopping overuse of groundwater, stopping deforestation, stopping excessive use of toxic pesticides in agricultural land etc.
It is the responsibility of humans to keep the environment clean and free from hazards. Apart from this, we should examine the causes of greenhouse effect and plant more trees.
