Birds of Bangladesh Paragraph

Bangladesh is full of various natural things. Birds are also a gift of nature to this country. Birds live close to home, in forests, wetlands and mountains. Different types of birds survive on different foods. Some live on worms and insects, some live on fish and meat and some live on fruits and grains. Among all the birds, the crow is the most common. It is an early riser.
It is a black and ugly bird. Its voice is hoarse. The cuckoo is a sweet singing bird that announces the beginning of spring. Black like a crow. It is called the harbinger of spring. There are other birds such as the doel, sparrow and the bau-katha-kau. They are all singing birds. The doel is our national bird.
Parrots, myna, skalik, syama and sandana are talking birds. They can imitate a human voice. Therefore, some people keep them as pets. Pigeons, swans, roosters, etc. are also excellent birds and are called domestic birds. There are some birds which are known as hijacker birds for their habit of plundering.
Kites, hawks and some other birds have sharp eyes and sharp claws; they pounce on their prey and carry it away. Hence they are called plundering or hijacking birds. Game birds are generally caught for eating and keeping. Doves, pigeons, snipe, terns, herons, pheasants and teals belong to this class.
There are some other common animals, whose role cannot be ignored. Hawks, baboons and sparrows are called tailor birds because they show great skill in weaving their nests. Vultures, though large birds, are ugly in appearance and habits. Owls, though fierce in appearance, are harmless.
It is our pride that every year in the winter season, a large number of birds come to our country which are known as “guest birds”. They are of different species and colors. These visiting birds are charming and create an atmosphere of beauty.
But unfortunately, some dishonest greedy people catch and sell these birds. Strict laws should be enforced against this. Birds are a beautiful creation of Allah, birds are a big economic source. So birds should not be killed just for eating meat.
