Satellite Channels Paragraph
Satellites are artificial objects or machines that are placed in orbit around the Earth. They return to Earth radio and TV signals, which are used by various channels to broadcast their programs. These satellite channels have brought a huge change in the world of education and entertainment of people.
The main function of satellite channels is to broadcast various types of programs. Popular channels broadcast many interesting programs. They broadcast music performances, dance, drama, film screenings, etc. Apart from movies, people can watch other channels like Discovery Channel, Geography Channel, etc.
Some live shows and commercial series are broadcast. The most watched are Ten Sports, Star Sports and ESPN. Both children and the elderly are fond of channels that broadcast cartoon films. BBC and CNN are very prominent news channels. Although the channels have contributed a lot to educate and entertain people, some channels broadcast programs and films of a violent nature.
They also show pornographic songs and films. These channels cause cultural degradation and moral degradation. They have an adverse effect on children and especially the younger generation because some ugly parts of Western culture have invaded our own culture.
There should be a government committee to implement a policy based on which channels can be allowed or censored. And in this way satellite TV channels can play a positive role and enrich our national culture.
